My guiding philosophy is about the seamless interweaving of work/life/play. Only by playing with ideas does reinvention occur.
So it follows that the collaboration I founded is called PLAY Contemporary Leadership Colab.
A hub of thinkers and doers invested in contemporary leadership, Play Colab creates leadership initiatives and experiences to expand the worldview of people and organisations. We experiment with both diversity and groups of commonality to provide impactful leadership development.
The Revolution Room
Transformation occurs when you get the right people in the room. So I host monthly thought-leadership ‘salons’ where small diverse groups of interested parties can debate and discuss concepts, issues and topics that matter in the wider world. It is a project to encourage civic engagement.
The WTF Project
I started this 50 week blogging project to acknowledge my half century milestone which occurred April 2013. A great experiment outside my comfort zone brought a lot of unexpected learnings.
Through my role at Play CLC, I host and edit a community platform where collaborators post their thoughts on contemporary leadership for a changing world.
For a number of years, I’ve written a monthly column for The Hobson in Auckland about mid-life reinvention. See them all here.
My family and I spend a lot of time at Great Barrier Island where I indulge my passion for fishing, making cocktails and living off the grid. We are starting to offer this as an executive retreat. If you need some room to move and space to think, or maybe an inspiring location for an executive retreat, get in touch and use our place.
Occasionally I pop up in the press. Click here to read a few articles.
